Hello to All:
Okay, so it is getting late, and our internet was down all evening-(wind)! So, therefore, I am not going to post the Jan. calendar tonight, as it takes almost an hour to get it all written out with times, dates, details,etc. And since we have a late night at the store tomorrow evening for our crop (sign ups still available)- I need to get a few things together for that and then get to bed (tomorrow evening it will be at least 1:30 AM before I hit the bed). Sorry to disappoint those of you who are awaiting the calendar.
I promise to get it up first thing Friday Morning. A quick peek with details to follow just to entice you:
As stated below- monthly Crop first Friday of each month - Jan. 7th will be the first one of the year!
Jan. 12th- A simple card class with the New "Fine and Dandy" Papers from My Minds Eye AM and PM class available
Jan. 25th: An adorable "Love" mini album with Misty (sample in store)
Jan. 26th: 2 Valentine stamped images (cards) colored with Copics
Jan. 29th: A fun mini album for the little princess in your life with Heidi
A quick peek into February: We will have a Valentines "Make-N-Take" on Feb. 5th (projects in store) limited to 20 sign-ups! 6 projects will be made for $20 and some of us will have some fun limited quantity "specials and kits" available also during the day for you to purchase!
More to follow Friday morning!
We will be closed Fri- Dec. 31st (new years eve) through our normal Monday Jan. 3rd. So, if I don't see you tomorrow (Thurs. Dec. 30th) then have a safe and Happy New Years-see you next week!

New Years Eve "EVE" Potluck Crop
Crop to celebrate the upcoming New Year!
Do you want to crop one last time before the New Year? Then this is the crop for you. We thought it would be fun to have a Potluck crop on December 30th (the night before New Years Eve)! Thus the name "New Years Eve, EVE Crop"!
Now, I know most of you don't work on New Years Eve during the day-so thought this would be a fun way to begin your celebration of the New Year without interupting your New Year's Eve Celebrating with family and friends. (If you work during the day on the 30th-you can sign up to come from 5-midnight for half price $10)
Come join us!!! Sign up to bring either a lunch dish or a dinner dish to share with the group. (722-9200). We will crop from 10am-midnight with prizes and drawings throughout the day all for $20. Call to reserve your spot. (We now have a larger crop space in the new store)!

Basic Grey 2011 Calendar Kits
Come in and pick up your calendar kit. The calendar's are pre-designed with chipboard stickers, letters, and fun embellishments. All you have to do is put it together and add your favorite pictures. An added bonus is you can keep yourself organized throughout the year, and you can keep all of Scrappin' Friends classes, crops and events listed on it also! :)

We've added a class to our very busy December Calendar!!! Many of you who attended our Make-N-Take a couple of weeks ago, requested Danielle to teach a gift card class. Well she has fulfilled your wishes and is scheduling a Gift Card Class on Saturday Dec. 18th at 10:00 in the moring. You will make 5 different types of gift card holders that can quickly and easily be re-created for the many friends and family on your gift list! This is a great class to get those hard to give people on your list completed just before the holidays! Brown Bag Crop- Saturday November 20th
We still have room in this Saturdays crop! It is from 9 am--9PM. Bring your own brown bag lunch and we will provide Dinner, dessert and drinks, raffle prizes and loads of fun. This is our last crop at this location.

Our new address is at 2620 Larkspur Lane-Unit Q.
To get there, if you are heading east on Cypress, you turn Right at Larskspur (at Kentucky Fried Chicken). Go past the new motel, and we are right next door in the newer stucko buildings.

Sooo Sorry for not posting the Calendar when I thought I would! But you know, sometimes life just gets in the way-and it was definately beyond my control! I came down with a nasty cold this week-luckily my sister is still in town and rescued me from the store-so I was able to stay home for a couple of days and get some needed rest. November is going to be a very busy month here at Scrappin' Friends. We have several classes planned and new Christmas lines coming in very soon! I will post our class schedule tonight- but here's a quick peek to give you a taste of what is to come.
We have a "MAKE-N-Take" event planned for the 13th, with quick, fun Chirstmas projects to do at the store and kits to purchase from the instructors for you to fill your winter days with fun and memories.
We have 2 different "Card classes" coming up with Angie and Heidi just in time to get those holiday cards ready to send or give to family and friends for the holiday season, a "Family Photo Blocks" for your shelf or mantle, a "This Nest Is Blessed" wood mini album, a "Card Box" to tuck all those fantastic cards to give away to family and friends throughout the year in. And last but not least, we will have a "Crop" to enjoy friends with just before the holidays!

October 6th: Stamp Club- this is a great group to join if you love to stamp. Angie comes on the first Wednesday of each month and holds this event. A fabulous project is made and then you get to order the best stamps ever! A minumum order of $15+sh/h and $5 to make the project. (There is limited space-with a 6 month comitment of belonging to the club is required).
October 12th: Come join our monthly Challenge Club- Each month you will recieve a kit of supplies to challenge yourself with-all for only $10! This is a great way to meet new friends, challenge yourself with a new project or materials and is very easy peasy!! You have a whole month to create your project, layout or cards-the limits are only yours! Pre-sign up is required to prepare kits.
October 15th: Halloween Treat Jar/Photo Holder- Do you need a quick gift for someone special. This cute little treat jar with photo holder is just the item! You can come in anytime during store hours and create this fun gift item! $8 (Pre-sign ups required to insure availability of supplies)
October 16th: Crop Till You Drop Potluck- Come crop with us! Crops are a great way to meet new people, join in the fun, have materials at your fingertips, and get some of those needed layouts, projects completed. All that is required is a potluck dish (sign-up for your dish). There is limited availability of tables-so don't procrastinate! Hurry and sign-up! $12 9-9pm

Soooo, I am a little behind this month. October just snuck up on me!! :( So, the calendar will be up tomorrow eve. (tues. Oct. 5th).
Here's a sneak peek!!
In the meantime- plan your calendar for a very busy month ahead!!
We will have 2 crops this month (the 16th form 9-9 and the 30th from 9-midnight). More details to follow!! We have several classes this month: (Angie is doing a really cute Halloween mini album on the 22nd at 5:30 -it's in the store-check it out! She is also doing another copic marker class on the 23rd!
I am doing a cute halloween treat jar that displays a photo and has a yummy treat inside the jar, I am doing a fall mini album, my monthly card class (thankful cards), a card box (to hold all those great cards you make or buy with a calendar to keep you on track!
So check back tomorrow evening for all the fabulous dates, times and details needed to have a very fun month!

Copic Markers
We will have copic markers in the store on Saturday. I ordered 30 colors, and another 26 colors will arrive on Monday. So, hurry in for the best selection. (I only ordered 3 of each color to start with)!
Angie is teaching a copic marker technique class on Saturday (Sept. 25 @ 10:00). There are only 2 spots left-so call to reserve your spot. The cost is $28 and you need at least 3 colors from the same family of copic markers.
It is sure to be a fabulous class and you will walk away with a rainbow of color information dancing in your heads! :)

There are several new papers being realeased on the 18th-it's a secret, so don't tell anyone you saw it here!!!!!
We also have new ribbons and laces coming in just after the 18th!

To celebrate our birthday, all classes have a birthday theme! Come to a class and get a head start on a birthday gift for that someone special, or to commemorate someone's special day (or maybe your own)!

You are welcome to bring something to eat or drink at our classes.
Sept. 8th Challenge Club: If you want a fun challenge with a great group of gals, then this is what you are looking for! Come join us once per month to recieve your packet of supplies for $10. You have one month to make anything from page layouts, cards, altered project, mini albums, or anything else you can think of. The only criteria is that you use all at least a portion of every item in the kit, and that you commit to at least 4 months of time. The following month you return with your finished item. We put all the items on the table to be viewed by the group, and then a vote is cast for the favorite. One creative person will win a $10 gift certificate for the store. It is great fun-come join us!!!
Sept. 18th Potluck Crop from 10-11Pm: Come crop with us for 13 Hours of fun. Filled with friends, food, creative energy, and some very special prize giveaways!!!!! All you need to bring is your supplies to scrap your favorite pictures, a food item to share with about 18 other hungry scrappers, and your creative juices and your smile!
Sept. 21st Explosion Box: This is a very fun picture box that memories can be stored inside. When someone wants to know what's inside, Boom-It explodes!
What a fun way to surprise someone with great memories all in a small box which can be displayed on a shelf, a table, or your desk at work! The sample is in the store, so come take peak and sign up! You need to bring adhesive, scissors, liquid glue (diamond glaze or zip-dry work best), chestnut roan cat-eye chalk. $25
Sept. 25th Copic Marker Class: Angie Kelley promises a day of great fun, laughter, and learning how to blend, shade and color with copic markers. You will need copic markers for the class (which we will have for purchase before the date of class if you don't have them already). You don't need to have any previous coloring experience to enjoy this class. Sign-ups will be limited so hurry in to get your spot!
Sept. 28th Birthday Hoot Album: If you would like to preserve those birthday memories in a small compact album, then this is perfect for you! It looks like a small album, but when you open it up, it has 4 flaps that open up beyond the edges of the book for more photos to be added. Hello Friends-
I have decided to keep things relatively simple for the month of August. I know that everyone is busy with getting kids ready for school and for those of you who are teachers, getting ready to go back to work after a nice summer break, sports activities are starting again and it's just a busy time trying to get back into the swing of things. So, with that in mind, our August calendar will look a little sparse. I am also going to be gone for a few days to Seattle and then to Portland Children's Hospital with my daughter and granddaughter, who is having some tests done. So, I have a lot on my plate too!
August: 10 Challenge Club 5:30 pm
Come join us for a fun time. You will recieve a packet of papers, embellishments and a challenge to complete these items during the month of Aug. and to be returned in Sept. for a chance to win a gift certificate for the store. All this for 10$. Pre-registering is required (at least 3 days prior).
August 25- Monthly Card Class
We will be making 2 Thank You cards, and 2 Sympathy Cards. Come learn some fun new techniques for making cards fun! $16 Pre-registration required. (Kits available also)
August 27- Friday Night Crop 5-midnight $8
Come join us for an evening of fun and friends. Pre-registration and payment required.
(at least 8 needed to hold crop)
We are gearing up for our 1 YEAR Anniversary!!!
September is the big month, which promises to bring lots of fun new classes (mini albums, gift card holder, pocket picture book, cards, explosion photo box, copic coloring class, and lots more). We will be giving away a big prize for those who purchase items during the month of Sept. and an even bigger prize for those who sign up for classes! So keep your eyes peeled for more exciting news in the near future!
If you haven't seen the "W" Womans magazine, we have an article about scrapbooking written in it. It talks about why woman like to scrap, and the store. Find a copy and check it out, or come in and read it at the store.
Also, the "Enjoy" magazine is going to be opening a store on Placer street, across from the downtown parking garage. It will feature artists from the north state. Artists will be selling there wares in the gift store. It is a juried selection process to be a part of the store, and I was selected!!! I will be making and selling my cards in the store. It promises to be a fun adventure. My cards will range in price from 3.50-6.50 and will be very different (much more detailed), than what you see here at Scrappin' Friends. None of the cards I make here at my store, will be the same as what you can purchase at "Enjoy the Store." So, go take a gander down there and "Enjoy the Store" and all it has to offer. It promises to be a fun place to shop for unique gifts!

If you haven't seen the "W" Womans magazine, we have an article about scrapbooking written in it. It talks about why woman like to scrap, and the store. Find a copy and check it out, or come in and read it at the store.
Also, the "Enjoy" magazine is going to be opening a store on Placer street, across from the downtown parking garage. It will feature artists from the north state. Artists will be selling there wares in the gift store. It is a juried selection process to be a part of the store, and I was selected!!! I will be making and selling my cards in the store. It promises to be a fun adventure. My cards will range in price from 3.50-6.50 and will be very different (much more detailed), than what you see here at Scrappin' Friends. None of the cards I make here at my store, will be the same as what you can purchase at "Enjoy the Store." So, go take a gander down there and "Enjoy the Store" and all it has to offer. It promises to be a fun place to shop for unique gifts!

We have a FREE Crop on Saturday, July 31st from 9 AM-9 PM. Space is limited-sign up quick! All you have to bring is a food item to share.
We have put together some new "Mini Album Starter Kits." These are fun little kits that you can create quickly. The chipboard pages are pre-cut into fun shapes and the paper is cut to match. We have included a few embellishments to get you started and a ring to hold it all together. They are only $5.99-so inexpensive, quick, and fun!

WOW!!!!!
Where have I been? Sorry, I haven't updated our store blog-internet problems!
We have new paper in the store!!! My Minds Eye has arrived "So Sophie" and tags/alphabet letters to match this line as well! There are 80 different pattern designs in this line! 80!!!!! Yes, that's right! The colors are beautiful, and as always, My Minds Eye papers have such a fabulous texture and feel to them. They are sooo enticing-come see for yourself-you will want some, I am sure of it!

It's almost July-WHAT!!!!!
I don't know about all of you, but the months just seem to be passing by more quickly these days-(I must be having a lot of fun-you know the saying," Time Flies When You're Having Fun). Luckily, I was thinking ahead (wow-that's a first)! So, I have ordered papers to celebrate the 4th, red/white/and blue embellishments, ribbons, brads, stickles, oh so fun!!! Hurry in for the best selection, it's going fast.
We also have My Little Yellow Bicycles "Clothesline." These papers are oh-so-pretty! They remind me of the soft lazy days of summer. Come check it out.
And that's not all-more coming in tomorrow (Wed.) from My Minds Eye. On Thursday afternoon, for those of you who have been waiting for me to order the Magnolia stamps "Edwin, and Tilda." They will be arriving-FINALLY!! Also, we will be carrying the "Magnolia Ink" monthly magazine. So hurry in, for these, as selection will go quickly and you won't want to miss out!!

New Company!!!
Have you seen the newest company of scrap paper? We have it in store-YAHOO!!
The company is called "Echo Park" and their first paper line is called "Sweet Summertime." It reminds me of a cross between Cosmo Cricket papers and October Afternoon papers. Very fun colors and whimisical designs.
They have another new line coming out at the end of the month-can't wait to see it!

Hello Everyone-
I am participating in a Muscalur Dystrophy Fundraiser. If you know of someone or have been involved with someone who has MD, then you know how difficult life can be for them. I have had children in my class with MD when I was teaching, and it is sad to see their little faces as they watch other children play and move around the classroom and playground. The longing in their eyes is enough to melt your heart! So, when I was contacted by our local MD organization to participate in the "Lock Up" to raise $, I said yes!
So, I need to raise bail to get out of jail in the amount of $1600. This will send 2 children to camp this summer. What a fabulous place for children to be children and enjoy life as a child. Any little bit helps, you can go to the link below, or come in to the store and donate by signing a little donation ticket. Thanks so much from the bottom of my heart and from the 2 children I hope to help get to camp!

Summer Layout- (Available June 25th) Capture all your summer fun on this 2 page layout. All pieces are pre-cut and ready for assembly. (Limited kits available)

Class Explanation:
May 7th: "Mothers Day Heart Frame"- If your looking for a great gift for your mom (or yourself), this is the perfect thing! The frame is wood with very pretty flowers and embellishments along one side. Come on in for a peek! Really Cute. (kits available)
May 14th: "A Splash of Fun" Mini Album- Angie has made a very cute summer mini album using "Rusted Sun" papers from Fancy Pants. Call to reserve your space (kits available).
May 15th: "Count Your Blessings" mini album- This is a great paper sack album using Bo-Bunnies "Flutter Butter" papers. So springy and fun! Hurry limited space available on this class!
May 22nd: "Spring Banner"- with Char. Char has created a very cute spring vintage banner. Oh, so cute! She used October Afternoon's new paper "Thrift Shop" Don't miss out on this one!
May 25th: "May Card Class"- The theme for our cards this month is birthdays and celebrations. Come learn some fun techniques with this class!
May 29th: "Jump Into Summer Make and Take Day"- Come meet all our instructors and make some really cute projects. This is sure to be an exciting day!
